Mele Kalikimaka ❤

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas from the beautiful Keystone, Colorado also known as my Winter Wonderland.

My goodness, I haven't blogged since June! So much has happened since then! I finished my first semester of college! My little brother, Greg is now fourteen and MUCH taller than me. My cousin Jordan, joined the Air Force and is now in basic training until the end of January. The Morelands, excluding Jordan and Kyle are now living in Hawaii and seem to really be enjoying it. My cousin Heather will be getting induced on December 28 to deliver her beautiful baby girl on my Pa's birthday! I started Weight Watchers, cycling, hitting the gym MUCH more, and recently just attended my first Zumba class. I've been watching the pounds melt off and haven't felt this healthy in a really long time! My little sister Kyli will be two on January 7! The last big thing I haven't shared is that I became a member of Alpha Omicron Pi and I am seriously in love with every bit of what this incredible sisterhood stands for and is, but that's a whole other blog I'll blog about later.

This Christmas, Daddy and Christy took us to Keystone, Colorado. It's beyond beautiful! I couldn't be more thankful for all they do for us; we are incredibly blessed. We have gotten to do SO much this trip! Here's just a little preview of our trip :)

Four o'clock on Friday morning in the Walmart parking lot:

We first flew out from Dallas Love, then arrived at Albuquerque, New Mexico where we then transferred on to another plane to Denver. Once there, we waited a while for our shuttle to take us to our resort in Keystone. The shuttle was about an hour and forty-five minute trip so it wasn't terrible and the drive was beyond gorgeous! I LOVE the Colorado scenery!

Here's just a few pictures from the plane ride:

Once we got to our condo, we were blown away by the beauty of our view! Not only was it beautiful on the inside, but the beautiful mountains, snow, and trees were breathtaking! Our condo definitely is very "home sweet home" feeling; wish we could just buy it! We've had the fireplace on most of the time except for when the boys come in from skiing. Kyli is adorable; she goes to the back door and says outside outside! She LOVES the snow!

Here's a few pictures of the condo and our incredible view:

The boys have went skiing three days and I joined them one day. I hurt my knee, so I wasn't really feeling skiing any more of the days. Christy and the boys went snow biking on Christmas Eve and all seemed to really enjoy it. While they were gone, I got the privilege to spend the day with my sweet little sister! We went sledding a little bit, went to play on the playground, and did some grocery shopping. We played in the snow for about thirty minutes, too trying to make a snowman, but it was a failed attempt. I love spending time with this sweet little pumpkin!

Christmas Eve night we went on a sleigh ride! We lucked out enough for it to be snowing while we were on it! It was freezing, but such an awesome experience! The sleigh ride took us to a cute little cabin where we ate supper. It was delicious! Steak, biscuits, vegetable soup, mashed potatoes, hot chocolate, homemade vanilla ice cream and apple pie were some of the items we had. To make it even better, the staff were all dressed in cowgirl/cowboy attire and we had a guy singing Johnny Cash, George Strait and Christmas songs! What an incredible experience! If you ever have a chance to go on a sleigh ride, do so!

Today is our last day here in this paradise. I've just been lounging around with Christy and Kyli and watching Christmas movies. I plan to hit some of the shops and buy a couple things here after while. I love it here. So beautiful, peaceful, and so much fun! I wouldn't mind living here one day, or at least owning a little piece of this amazing scenery!

Please keep the families and individuals who aren't so lucky in your prayers..the Connecticut families who had their babies taken away so close to Christmas, the soldiers who are fighting for our freedom across the world, the daily heroes such as police officers, doctors, nurses, paramedics, firefighters, etc who are out working instead of being able to be with their families..could go on and on. As I sit here on Christmas day with my family beside me, my heart hurts for those who aren't so lucky. My love, thoughts, and prayers go out to them. Merry Christmas! Count your blessings; you are blessed.❤
